The largest highway project which is contracted by Chinese enterprise in other countries and applies the highest standards. This road, with a total cost of US $98,000,000, was started in 1998 and completed in June 2004. Renowned as "the First Road in Ethiopian", this road is a landmark building for Addis Ababa to be a modernized city. 
The new highway, over 100km in length, connects the Ethiopian town of Asossa with the Sudanese town of Kumruk, making trade & calls significantly easier for traders as well as travelers.
